In a breakthrough move for the hit Netflix series, The Night Agent, significant progress has been made on a fourth-season renewal. As per recent updates, the show and its cast, including Peter Sutherland, are set to relocate to California for the upcoming season.
The news comes as a confirmation of previous rumors, which hinted at the show’s writer’s room being active on a fourth season. Season 3 was announced before Season 2 premiered, and the early renewal of the series was already a testament to its massive popularity.
According to the California Film Commission, The Night Agent Season 4 is part of the ‘Relocating TV series’ list from Sony Pictures Television. The approved TV projects list confirms that the show will have 90 days of filming in California, with a total of 178 cast members, 334 base crew members, and 3,350 background performer days worked, with a total qualifying expenditure of just shy of $80 million.
Given the number of production days and prior production schedules, it’s likely that California won’t be the only filming location for Season 4. The show has predominantly filmed in New York and parts of Washington, D.C. in the past, with international excursions in Thailand, Turkey, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic.
The release date for Season 3 has shifted back to mid-February 2026, with the 19th being a possible release date. The series has lined up a new cast, including Genesis Rodriguez, David Lyons, Jennifer Morrison, and Stephen Moyer, with some characters being promoted to series regulars.
As The Night Agent embarks on its fourth season, fans are eagerly waiting to see what’s in store for the characters and the plot. With the show’s massive popularity and the recent confirmation of the fourth-season renewal, it’s clear that The Night Agent is here to stay. Are you hoping for more seasons of The Night Agent?
